Camp Transforms Lives
We saw how much we need God’s love in our lives, because in 2020 the corona virus pandemic forced us to cancel our summer camping season. But God also opened new avenues for ministry, with Virtual Camping and other creative expressions to share God’s love across the miles.
Christian camps, congregations, and families are struggling because of unexpected financial challenges. Many donors have already stepped up and given generously – some have doubled their usual donation to ensure our Camp which began in 1959 will provide vital ministry for another 60-plus years. You who have given so sacrificially are heroes because you care about making a difference for children and youth.
Recently I learned of an elementary-aged girl who was challenged when growing with confidence. At any age, life sometimes seems too much. The young girl was given an opportunity to visit during the fall “corn maze” season. Her Mom remarked that the thought of returning to Camp lifted her spirits: “This is a TRUE blessing! She LOVES Camp Fontanelle so much” – and Camp Fontanelle loves her right back.
